Mission Complete! Cambodia 2013

Thank you volunteers forjoining the Cambodia Medical/Dental Mission Outreach 2013. With your hands, feet, and heart, God the Father has welcomed over 1200 lives into the Kingdom of Heaven. What a blessing your are to our Father in Heaven.

Outreach at the NLF Toul Svey Prey II

The outreach was a blessing to the ministry of New Life Fellowship at Toul Svey Prey. To join and help the congregation and their community in giving the love of Jesus to their neighbor who do not know Jesus.

Site Six Phoum Kandal

Helen Juan called me to her patient who had injured his shoulder 4 years ago and he continues to have pain in that shoulder.  I was unable to pull his arm away from his chest beyond 35 degrees.  We discussed some exercises and I recommended ibuprofen.  I left to check on others at that point.  After a short time, I turned around to see that the man was still with Helen and her translator.  Additionally Pastor Joseph Cerezo was with her as they were all praying over him.  To my surprise, he was flapping his arms like a bird.  Helen just does not let one patient go by without prayer and believing for miracles.  Pastor Joseph joined her as the Holy Spirit was speaking through him to have the man move his arm more and more.  They would not stop until he could move his arm pain free completely over his head.

5th Site Prey Ta Chap

Juanita Joseph was praying over a man who had been an idol worshiper and came to us because he had a stroke in the past.  Since his stroke was several years old there is nothing that can really be offered to him medically in this environment.  He proceeded to Prayer and Healing where Juanita met him.  She prayed over him and he was able to move his arm better.  His translator then let her know that he is mute as well.  He has not been able to speak since his stroke.  After praying further, his first word in years was Jesus!

4th site Prey Romes

Leon Nickens has returned this year after missing the trip in 2012 following an accident.  He was eager to follow up on a number of patients he had ministered to two years ago.  One man is no longer addicted to drugs and is back at work supporting his family.  This year, he identified a young teen girl who reported being sexually abused by her father.  We were able to find her a safe haven to intervene in her safe recovery.

Ikue Horikawa has been a nurse on our missions for many years now.  We had begun our mission with an inbrief from the pastor who explained that one the challenges they have with winning and discipling Cambodians is that they have no Judeo christian foundation for right and wrong.  As she was caring for her patients, she found it difficult to share the Gospel with them.  However, the Holy Spirit directed her to simply share her testimony.  This was such a success especially since she had also grown up in a Buddhist home.  There were sixteen people who dedicated their lives to Jesus as a result of her simple testimony.  Sharing the Gospel is much easier than we realize, especially as we listen to the Holy Spirit’s direction.

3rd site Seyha, Tung Kea Province

Thank you Lord for your grace and goodness. Below is some of the testimonies of the team members:

One of the sites was established in a public school.  The local translator who was assisting in Prayer and Healing took Juanita Joseph to the back to show her where a tree once stood that had been used by the village religious leaders to worship their gods.  When the school was built, the tree was cut down.  Later, they learned that the room they were assigned to for Prayer and Healing was located over the site of that same tree.  The enemy’s strongholds have been cut down!

Janeen Wheeler simply noticed an older gentlemen come into Evangelism with obvious pain in his knees as it was difficult for him to walk.  She laid her hands on his knees and prayed over him with immediate results.  His eyes got big and he jumped up in excitement exclaiming that his knees no longer hurt!  Who needs the docs?

Second outreach site is O’Pheasaing, Takeo Province

The Team continues to be in the presence of God by sharing the gospel and giving medical/dental treatment to around 211 people today. Bearing in mind that people in the province area of Cambodia are farmers and rice fields carry-on for miles by bike or walking. anything over two hundred people coming to the site is big crowd because of the distance they travel to get to the central location of the  outreach site for treatment. The team members labor of love are a witness to the people that searches for hope. The country hungers for a life that would save them from poverty. Jesus gives that life of hope and that is what the team generously carries where ever they go in Cambodia.

a couple of testimonies that came from the team was a whole family that were Christian except a wife of the son who was not, accepted the Lord and the whole family rejoiced with her at the outreached. The second testimony came from one of the translator's father. Sothea invited her father to come for the pain he had in all his joint. The father was prayed over and the pain disappeared. he gave his life to the Lord today.

This mission trip would be impossible without these! These young men and women of New Life Fellowship translate for us in the heat, sweat and rain. They demonstrate the Gospel with great joy!

First Outreach to Tungkea Takeo Province, Cambodia

There are 205 people who heard the gospel today @ our first outreach and treated by our Medical & Dental team. Every member did an awesome job, showed the compassion & the love of Jesus to the people in Cambodia.

Dr. Dale stated, "Thanks to some of our team members like Rachael who stepped forward to minister to the gorgeous children! We have a great team and our translators are doing a superb job. Still expecting the impossible! God is good! Thanks to all who are agreeing with us in prayer for salvations, healings and miracles!"

One of nurses Alice Ra gave this word for the day (Isaiah 40:28-31 - 28  Do you not know?    Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint)

Cambodia Med Prep to prepare for Outreach

The team gathered up to get together and got to know one another. Another reunion in the making where brothers and sisters in Christ joined together as one in a purpose to reconcile  God's people with Him. After bonding, the team prepared the meds for the pharmacy to be ready. It took everyone to work together and completed it in a day and a half. Excitement fills the air in starting the mission. What an absolute joy of the Lord Jesus lingers in the team. Please continue to pray for covering as the mission begins. To have the hearts of the Cambodian people to prepared to be entered by the love and hope of the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

Medical Mission to Cambodia 2013

The Hawaii Team is ready to join the rest of the ARMS medical mission team. Teams are coming from Grace Bible Church Pearlside and New Hope Church Mililani. It is an awesome team and very excited. God has already shown them confirmation they are called to go. Favors from work that paved a way. Funds that were receive to those able to go that needed assistance and those who had the heart but had no funding that were just blessed having their trip fully paid. Even God makes a way for last minute members that was destined to go and God has made a way to get a ticket and opportunity to join the team. How incredible is our God who gives us the desires of our heart because of obedience. What more will the team experience and how will it change them on this mission to Cambodia? Please pray for the team for the people of Cambodia to received the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Cover the team as all the members are on their way to gather as one for the love of Jesus..

Site 5 Santa Rita,Olongapo

Last site of the mission outreach. What the enemy was trying to do was to discourage us in the last day and last site by scheduling a power outage. However we have the ultimate power God's power. The Holy Spirit blew a mighty wind in the site for air circulation. God also blessed us with the generator and was able to continue with the mission.
At this site we saw over 824 people and over half gave their lives to the Lord Jesus. so the total for the entire mission was over 4,600 people was treated. If ever you want to join us next year we are starting to put a team together.

Site 4 Boton, New Cabalan

We have to testify the Lord Jesus still does miracles even today as we speak. There was lady with crutches and as they prayed for her she did not need the crutches any more. She went home carrying her crutches. Sis Ruby Arango prayed for a lady who had a steel plate and was hurting from her hip to her feet. She had a vision of Moses raising his hand for victory and now the pain is no longer in her body. What a Healer, by His  stripes we are healed.
The site was near the smoky mountain of garbage and many people came to be treated around 774 and 422 has accepted Jesus into their hearts. It is an awesome time and we only have one more site to go to tomorrow. The team is being strengthened by the joy of the Lord.

Site 3 IRAM New Cabalan, Olongapo

Amazing! is the word that I can use for the day the Lord has made and we rejoice in it. There were so many people waiting already at the site. The team got going in a few minutes was treating people. They them love of Christ. We were able to treat over 867 people yesterday and over 591 people accepted the love gift of God in their lives, His son Jesus. Slippers were given and so many people enjoyed their new footwear especially those who were barefooted.

Late in the day, a tribe of ITAS came to the site. They walked over 10-13 kilometers to come to the mission and see if they can get some medical attention and hoping to get slippers. They started walking over by 7 in the morning and did not reach us until almost 4pm carrying their children. We just love on them and gave them food to eat. It was awesome and the extra plate lunches was exact to the number of tribal people that came. We were able to give them some new slippers and rice and they were ecstatic and so grateful. What a wonderful God we serve and they were also able to here the love gift of God, His son Jesus. and some accepted Jesus in to their hearts. Pastor Sue Kennedy gave a little girl a teddy bear and she just gave an expression look of "is it for me" and we both our hearts just melted seeing her joy of receiving the bear. What an overwhelming joy and love of God we just receive through the eyes of the beautiful little girl.

Site 2 La Huerta, Paranaque

Today the Spirit of the Lord gave the word from Isaiah 22:22 I will place on His shoulder the key to the house of David; what He opens no one can shut and what he shuts no one can open. the Lord Jesus did that today at the second site. The two days at the second site (La Huerta, Paranaque), more people were treated than the last site with nearly 1300 people total. God has lifted the vale of the people to let them see the goodness of the Lord Jesus in the city of Paranaque. Nearly 400 people ask for prayer and we had around 40 miracles that took place and more salvation that happened in the prayer and healing section. When the Evangelism team invited the people to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior over 800 people received Jesus into their lives. What an awesome God we serve.

There was a 22 day old baby that came to the clinic. The doctors diagnosed the baby with severe case of infection from the jaundice. As they rushed her to the hospital the nurses and doctors were saying that they cannot do anything until the baby settles down from the stress it is going through. Please pray for the Princess Dhenalyn Napili is her name. That the Lord would do the miraculous and cure here from her infection. As we prayed in the hospital the baby has calmed down and the blood pressure was going down.
We also talked to the mother of the baby. She told us she had no hope of getting any help for the baby, and her neighbor heard of the medical mission and invited her to come along. She was one of the last people in line and her friends wanted to get dental treatment. However, she said she was able to get in to see the doctor for her baby. Her friends was not able to make to it to the dental registration since they came at the end of the day. The mother was so thankful and to receive a benevolent from ARMS to get assistance for her baby that is in critical condition.

Other people were able to walk without anymore pain. The lady with blurred vision was able to see clearly, more unforgiveness was released and relationships restored. from small to big miracles nothing is impossible with God.

I will have pictures soon as I get the picture converted into a lower resolution to fit in the blog. Please continue to pray for Princess Napili. to God be the Glory!

Site 1 Sucat, Paranaque

What an awesome time we (team) are having serving wholeheartedly our Lord Jesus, Savior and King of our lives. He has showed us that we are one body united to do one purpose is to bring the Gospel to His people. Some of the miracles that happened was blind lady in her old age was blind and having stomach problems. Two of the team members started to pray for her healing for her stomach and as they prayed the pain stopped and eventold us that she dould see before even praying for her blindnes. She was ask to read their name tag and she read them. One doctor was checking up the patient to see what was wrong and was told by the patient that one side of her body was numb and the doctor knew that it was affecting her nervous system. So she prayed and the patient started to cry because she began to have feelings on the numb side of her body. What an awesome God we have. There are more miracles to tell, I will testify more what God is doing in the mission field and now to let you know that over 900 patients was served and treated by our team of Doctors and Dental. Our Evangelism reported that over 500 people that accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Philippine Medical Mission 2013

The Hawaii team is ready to join the Asian Relief Medical Services medical mission to the Philippines. We are going to do outreaches in the Metro Manila area and Olongapo. The team is excited to join the rest of the team from Okinawa, Japan, Germany, US Mailand (California and Virginia). Please keep us in prayer for safe travels, protection against illness and prepared hearts. It is the summer in the Philippines so it is hot and humid. Pray for first timers in the field. The field is white but the laborers are few. Let us keep our focus on the Lord Jesus.
